The Wetland and Wetland CH4 Inter-comparison of Models Project (WETCHIMP)

WETCHIMP was initiated to coordinate and facilitate the systematic study of wetland and wetland methane models for simulations of large scale wetland characteristics and corresponding methane emissions. I was the project coordinator.

The WETCHIMP project goals include:

1. Improved understanding of the present state of wetland and wetland methane modelling,
2. Shared learning of the most effective and most skilled modelling approaches, and
3. Increased understanding of the costs and benefits of regional vs. global models.
